IPC’s PRIME expands the D.E.S range of delivery options

IPC’S PRIME EXPANDS THE D.E.S RANGE OF DELIVERY OPTIONS The International Post Corporation’s (IPC) PRIME Registered Post is a crossborder tracked parcels service that has been specifically developed for the e-commerce market and it will now form part of the range of delivery options offered by Direct Entry Solutions’ (D.E.S.) own PacketPort e-commerce solution. PRIME Registered Post will now be offered alongside D.E.S’s existing PacketPort Express, Tracked and Registered delivery services available to online sellers for worldwide registered mail and parcel deliveries.

With this service customers will receive tracking information on their goods entering some of the world’s key e-commerce markets. PRIME Registered Post offers priority handling, customer receipt on posting, online track and trace, customer confirmation of delivery (including, if needed, a signature from the recipient). There is also the added security of all goods despatched being insured up to the replacement value stated on the receipt.

Speaking about D.E.S.’s PacketPort shipping platform, Phil Coleman, Chief Executive, emphasised the need to be flexible to what online sellers and the market needs. “We are increasing our PacketPort portfolio because we want to give our customers increased choice so that they can choose a product that does what they need but is at the right price for them.”

“It’s desirable to have a track and trace service on goods shipped crossborder, and particularly where goods are entering some of the world’s big e-commerce markets. But sometimes that information comes at a price that is not affordable for some customers. IPC’s PRIME Registered Post fills that gap by being value for money but without sacrificing quality and reliability.”

D.E.S. reports 67% of wholesale customers signing up to PostPort

D.E.S. reports 67% of wholesale customers signing up to PostPort

“We wanted to give our wholesale customers much more than just dispatch handling,”
Phil Coleman, Chief Executive, D.E.S.

Direct Entry Solutions (D.E.S.), the international mail and parcel delivery specialist, has seen 67% of its wholesale customers sign up to the new PostPort mail solution in just six months.

PostPort was a new mail visibility platform, piloted in October and officially launched in January, created by D.E.S. to give wholesalers for the first time ever the business-critical capability to monitor where their domestic and international mailings are in the distribution process.

“We wanted to give our wholesale customers much more than just dispatch handling.

We thought wholesalers would prefer a clear understanding of where their shipment is in the transport chain with information on the exact times their vehicles arrive at each destination, including crucially when the mail hits the postal system of the destination country,” explained Phil Coleman, Chief Executive of D.E.S.

Aimed at printers, mailing houses, fulfilment centres and mail consolidators, Phil explains where he was looking to help wholesalers:

“We created PostPort with our customers’ Operations, Customer Service and Finance functions in mind.

If we can get mail from A-Z, with everything monitored in between, then potential discrepancies can be seen and dealt with easily by Operations and Customer Service, resulting in happier end-customers,” said Phil.

PostPort is available across a range of priority, non-priority and customised untracked mail and is aligned to the Interconnect formats and operations procedures allowing for posting heavyweight catalogues and publications and sending ecommerce goods up to 30mm in thickness.

A new version of PostPort with increased functionality is planned for later this year, including an API for customers to automatically upload pre-alerts from their existing system and a customer report function.

In addition to the success with PostPort, D.E.S. is reporting revenue growth of 422% between 2014 and 2015 for its ecommerce mail solution, PacketPort.

Interconnect with PostPort. The best transparency on untracked mail

D.E.S. launches Interconnect-ready PostPort solution for transparency on untracked mail

Direct Entry Solutions (D.E.S.), the international mail and parcel delivery specialist, has developed and launched a new version of its PostPort mail solution, in readiness for the Interconnect programme.

PostPort has given wholesalers for the first time ever, the capability to monitor where their mailings are in the distribution process. PostPort provides a mail visibility platform on priority, non-priority and customised untracked mail for printers, mailing houses, fulfilment centres, mail consolidators and post rooms. Wholesalers can see when their mail reaches key points in its journey, such as entering the postal system of the destination country.

A simple to use online consignment documentation system, PostPort enables customers multiple-user access to compile, print and archive detailed consignment information without the physical paperwork and repetition usual when distributing mailings.

Now PostPort has been aligned to the new Interconnect formats and operations procedures allowing customers that choose to use the mail solution, to benefit from Interconnect’s boxable format for posting heavyweight catalogues and publications and sending ecommerce goods up to 30mm in thickness.

“We constantly strive to give our customers the latest and best mail and parcel products. PostPort now gives our wholesale customers control over their mailings through traceability and makes available Interconnect’s prized format benefits that will deliver to customers cost savings and efficiencies.

“Looking to the future, PostPort can also adapt quickly to Interconnect’s future format changes and can easily switch formats as new countries join Interconnect,” said Phil Coleman, Chief Executive of D.E.S.

PostPort has increased its functionality further with auto invoicing and online reporting now available to customers. Invoices can now be automatically sent out on a weekly basis, by email, to the agreed contact. In addition to the invoices, a report of the services billed is available on PostPort for customers to view and download.

PostPort is just one of a number of new services recently introduced by D.E.S.. Since forming the partnership with Austrian Post earlier this year, D.E.S. has expanded its portfolio of value-added products and services.

D.E.S. launches PostPort to give wholesalers transparency on untracked mail

Direct Entry Solutions (D.E.S.), the international mail and parcel delivery specialist, has launched a new mail solution, PostPort, that gives wholesalers for the first time ever, the capability to monitor where their mailings are in the distribution process.

D.E.S. are proud to be offering a mail visibility platform on priority, non-priority and customised untracked mail for printers, mailing houses, fulfilment centres, mail consolidators and post rooms.

PostPort is a simple to use online consignment documentation system that enables customers multiple-user access to compile, print and archive detailed consignment information without the physical paperwork and repetition usual when distributing mailings.

Transparency, knowledge and insight are key factors in the solution’s design by D.E.S.’s technical team. Wholesalers can see when their mail reaches key points in its journey, such as entering the postal system of the destination country. The traceability is important as it brings a discipline to the supply chain, that has until now been unavailable for wholesalers.

“We are always looking at new and better ways of doing things in the mail and parcel business. This is about using the latest technology to give our wholesale customers control over their mailings. They can interrogate the process and ensure that their operations are performing efficiently, which is essential for meeting their customers’ expectations and providing great service,” explained Phil Coleman, Chief Executive of D.E.S.
